Why don’t planes crash more often from mechanical failure? With all the moving parts inside a plane, it seems that something would break fairly easily. So, why doesn’t that happen? One primary reason: checklists.

Before pilots push the button for taxiing and take-off, they perform an extensive pre-flight checklist to ensure everything is functioning exactly as it should be.

Google

Entrepreneurs hoping for strong SEO (search engine optimization) rankings might take a lesson here. They can create a checklist to make sure everything is perfect for their next website article. No, an SEO checklist won’t protect you from crashing and burning. But it will help ensure that your post has the best chance it needs to rank high in Google.

So, before you publish your next piece of web content, run it through the following 9-point checklist for the best SEO tips but check this link about where to learn seo.

1. Pick a good keyword to focus on.

The first step is to pick the search term or phrase you want the post to show up. If I am writing about the best dog toys for small dogs, I’ll want to find out what people are actually searching for.

The easiest way to do this is to use Google Keyword Planner, a free tool that will show you an estimate for any search phrase. (Although Keyword Planner is free, you may need to set up an AdWords account to gain access.)

For example, I noticed that “small dog toys” receive 590 monthly searches — higher than any other related combination of words. However, I’m still not totally ready to start writing about this topic. First, I need to do some research.

2. Research the competition.

Now that I have a term I want to try to rank for, I’m going to go undercover and do some recon!

Jump over to your “private browsing” mode on your web browser (“Incognito” in Chrome, “Private” in Safari and Firefox, “InPrivate” on Internet Explorer) and head to Google.com. (At my company, we do “private mode” because we don’t want Google to use our past search history to influence what we see on the search results page.)

Take a look at all the content on page one of Google, ignoring any ad results at the top. The 10 (or so) results are your competition! What are they missing? Can you do better?

3. Write the best content.

Now that you know what your competition looks like, it’s time to create the content that will blow those folks out of the water. This is perhaps the most difficult part, but it’s the most important. It needs to be amazing.

I don’t care if you create a blog post, eCommerce store page, or sales-landing page. It needs to be better than the rest, or else neither Google nor your audience will ever take note.

For an example of an article I recently wrote — with just this goal in mind — check out “How to Become a Millionaire: The Ultimate Guide.”“. My goal with that post was to write superb content about that topic. How did I do?

4. Put the keyword in your page title.

This should be a no-brainer, but I’ll say it anyway: Your page title should contain your keyword, but that doesn’t mean it has to be exact (though it can be).

Additionally, the title must also be interesting enough that people will actually want to click on it! A good example of this would be PT from PTMoney.com, who wrote a great post about “making extra money.” However, rather than a boring title, like “Make Extra Money,” he titled it “52 Ways to Make Extra Money.” Now that is something I would want to read.

5. Put the keyword in your header.

You can organize most web pages by having a large title at the top, followed by several sub-headers throughout the page (like the sub-headers in this post).

This organization is helpful not only for people in skimming blog-post articles but also for showing Google exactly what your blog post is about. Therefore, be sure to use your exact keyword phrase at least once in your sub-headers.

6. Put the keyword in the name and alt-tag of your image.

Next, if your blog post contains images, you can use those images to cement the idea to Google about your post’s topic. There are two ways to do this:

To change the image name, change the name of the image on your computer before uploading. Instead of a file called “2831274.jpg,” you can re-name it something like “small dog toys 1.jpg.”

The “alt tag” is something you designate after you upload the photo to your website. Without getting too technical, the alt tag is simply the text that the web browser will show if the photo can’t load for some reason.

7. Use the keyword in the URL and the post.

Another way Google can determine what your blog post is about is the URL. In other words, we’re talking about what comes after the “.com” in your url (or .net, .org, or whatever you use). For example, which of the following URLs do you think Google will like better when deciding whether or not to show a certain page?

You’re right if you guessed the second one. While the former might not completely kill your SEO efforts, the latter definitely helps show Google exactly what the post is about.

8. Insert internal links.

If you aren’t talking about your best content, why should anyone else care? For this reason, your best SEO content must be linked to internally by other pages on your website.

Yes, this means you may need to go back and edit some older posts to include links to the new, incredible content.

9. The most important SEO tip: Get external links.

Okay, finally, we’re at the big one: external links.

External links are links from websites other than your own. Google relies heavily on external links to determine how good a post is. And this makes sense. You can talk about yourself and your own skills all day long, but no one will believe you. But as soon as other people begin bragging about you, others take notice.

While producing incredible content may get you some links, the truth is, you are going to have to do some “link building.” This means reaching out to other website owners in the space to ask for links. For some great tips on getting these links, I like to read Backlinko.com.

The above nine-point checklist may not include everything a person could know about SEO, but you’ll be miles ahead of the competition by simply following this checklist. You will likely see your posts get significant SEO traffic.

NEW DELHI—Two Wide Info of India’s biggest online travel booking platforms are merging, the latest example of consolidation among startups in the world’s second-most-populous country.

Nasdaq-listed MakeMyTrip Ltd. said Tuesday it is acquiring ibibo Group from South Africa-based global internet and entertainment company Naspers Ltd. Chinese internet giant Tencent Holdings Ltd. for 40% of the shares of a new, combined entity.

MakeMyTrip
Through a jointly owned holding company, Naspers owns 91% of ibibo, while Tencent owns the remaining 9%, the companies said in a statement. A MakeMyTrip spokeswoman declined to comment Wednesday on whether the same breakdown would pertain to the stake in the new firm. According to the Nasdaq website, MakeMyTrip had a market capitalization of $1.24 billion at market close Tuesday. The companies didn’t provide value for the deal, and the spokeswoman declined to comment on it.

The deal should “unlock value” by “combining the complementary strengths of each business,” the companies said, adding that the transaction should close by the end of December, subject to approval by shareholders and regulators.
The deal is a “game-changer” for MakeMyTrip since it combines the top two players in India’s online travel sector, which has been “hurt by high burn rates resulting from the high competitive intensity,” wrote Jefferies analyst Arya Sen in a research note.

Gurgaon, India-based MakeMyTrip, offers bookings for flights, hotels, buses, and trains. Ibibo, also based in Gurgaon, says it is India’s largest hotel booking site and provides flight booking and other bus ticketing and car-sharing services. The companies said that the startups’ services combined were responsible for 34.1 million transactions in the 2016 fiscal year.

India represents huge potential for technology startups since many people are now getting online for the first time. Many startups have been burning through cash that they have spent on advertising and discounts to woo new users, but venture capitalists have been starting to tighten the taps in recent months.

In July, prominent Indian e-commerce firm Flipkart Ltd. bought a smaller rival, online retailer Jabong, for $70 million. That deal came amid rapid expansion in India by Amazon.com Inc., which has said it will invest $5 billion in India.
In August, Bangalore, India-based ride-hailing service Ola said it was laying off hundreds of workers at a fellow operator, TaxiForSure, bought in 2015. According to federal prosecutors, a former contractor Wide News with the National Security Administration (NSA) has stolen a whopping 500 million pages of sensitive government record over the last two decades.

In a court filing made public on Thursday, prosecutors said the former NSA contractor Harold ‘Hal’ Martin III was arrested on August 27 in Maryland and poses a “grave danger” to the US. He has been charged under Espionage Act.
Ahead of a detention hearing set for Friday in Baltimore, the government has said that Martin should not be allowed to leave the country. He worked for Booz Allen Hamilton – the same firm that hired NSA contractor Edward Snowden. Martin was entrusted with classified information for government agencies and allegedly had been stealing information since 1996. He is alleged to have communicated online with others in languages other than English, including in Russian.

Stole

In June 2016, he downloaded information regarding the Russian language as well as other foreign languages. Federal prosecutors alleged that examining the digital media seized from Martin indicates extensive use of sophisticated encryption, anonymization, and virtual machine technologies. There is evidence that he has remote data storage accounts and has engaged in encrypted communications, they alleged.

Martin also had encrypted communication and cloud storage apps installed on his mobile device, prosecutors said, adding that he has the knowledge and training to housing some or all of the stolen digital information in cyberspace, where he could easily access or transfer it. He had a sophisticated software tool that runs without being installed on a computer and provides anonymous internet access, leaving no digital footprint on the machine.

The prosecutors said Martin had swiped at least 50,000 gigabytes of information. One single gigabyte is enough space to store about 10,000 pages of documents containing images and text. His internet activity also suggests that he was attempting to locate anonymous internet access and to run operating systems on his machines that would not leave any forensic evidence of his computer activities, they alleged.

In July 2016, he watched a video about how authorities catch individuals who attempt to remain anonymous on the internet. He has a demonstrated ability to conceal his online communications and access to the internet, prosecutors added.

Many people take their life for granted when it comes to their health. They stay out late, party heartily, don’t exercise, and often eat unhealthy foods. In the short term, it will not leave any long-lasting health concerns. However, if they become something of the norm, they can take a toll on the body and cause serious health issues in the future. Thankfully, you can make positive changes in your life and avoid paying the price of poor health later.

Living Healthy

Good Night’s Rest

People often underestimate the importance of getting a good’s night rest. You go to work early and stay up late at night. However, your body works behind the scenes when you sleep, repairing itself. When you lack the proper amount, you can’t function to your full capacity. You often walk around in a fog, lose focus, and can become forgetful. This can affect every aspect of your life, including your job, relationships, and well-being. For example, an ordinary weekend ride on your motorcycle can turn disastrous if you don’t see that another driver runs a red light. Now, you become the victim and have serious injuries because you weren’t at 100 percent. The good news is that the accident wasn’t your fault, and there are law practices like Pines Salomon that specialize in personal injury cases. To find out more, click here.

Physical Fitness

When you exercise, you build strong muscles, and the fat slowly fades away, leaving behind a lean physique. Physical fitness also reduces stress, improves cardio health, and thwarts illnesses such as type 2 diabetes and some types of cancer. Getting in regular amounts of exercise at least 3 to 4 times each week will give you mental clarity and make you feel energized and happier. If you prefer not to join a gym, there are other ways to remain fit. A brisk walk or a morning jog can provide the same results, swim or go for a bike ride.

Nutritional Diet

Your body needs essential vitamins, minerals, proteins, and healthy fats to sustain overall health. Unfortunately, many people don’t eat right. As a result, obesity is on the rise. Living in an age where everything is instantaneous may prove convenient, but convenience is not always in your best interest. This applies to eating fast or processed foods due to time constraints. The answer is simple; make the best use of your time. If you run all week and have little time to cook, prepare healthy meals ahead of time over the weekend. Your daily diet should include nutritional foods like fresh fruits and vegetables, lean meats or fish, whole grains, nuts, and healthy fats such as Omega-3s.

Hydration

More than half of your body consists of water. So it only makes sense to drink plenty of water to keep it functioning properly. While doctors often give different amounts as the requirement on an individual basis, eight oz. Bottles of water are average each day. Water is a cleanser, an energizer, a pain killer, and provides instant hydration. If you feel a little off, try drinking a glass of pure water.

Do Without

There aren’t many people who live life without picking up a bad habit. However, when comparing twirling your hair versus smoking a pack of cigarettes, there’s no comparison regarding your health. Curling your hair will cause it to break and have split ends, nothing a haircut can’t fix. Unfortunately, smoking a pack of cigarettes daily can lead to serious health issues later in life. If you smoke and want to quit, see your doctor about the options available. And, if you fail initially, keep trying; it’s well worth the efforts for the future of your health.

The good news is that you can change your ways and improve your health.

As the US and Europe-based World Scoop venture capital funds go slow on investment in start-ups, the Chinese are filling in with moneybags, ideas, and handholding. Seasoned Chinese investors, including Incapital, Fenghou Capital, Legend Capital, Plum Ventures, Grand View Capital, K2VC, Hill House Capital, Fusion Capital, Heli Capital, Chengwei Capital are preparing to enter the Indian start-up space, “They have been waiting for all this, but now Chinese investors are expected to come in significant numbers. For them, the Indian start-up space with the scope of growth that can happen, they can’t afford to ignore. Also, with Chinese start-ups getting more mature, growth there is tapering off, making India an attractive investment destination,” he said.

As Rocket Internet steps back, Chinese arrive in droves 8

The current trigger for the Chinese interest is a recent visit of more than 15 funds, mostly angel investors, to India last week. Of late, the Indian start-up space is seeing a slowdown in funding with US-based venture capital funds such as Rocket Internet and Softbank demand profitability before committing more money. “Such visits don’t happen every day. The delegation that came to India was more interested in early-stage start-ups. But the feedback we got during the meetings and also during our subsequent visit is that they would prefer a single platform to get access to target start-ups,” said Vikram a day after a week-long visit to Hongkong where a partnership pact was firmed up with the platform Zhucloud, developed by Incapital, which is part of IT and communication biggie from Hong Kong, the HKT Group.

The combined platform of IvyCapital and Zhucloud would bring together Chinese investors and Indian start-ups.
On its own, IvyCap manages two funds supported by the trust formed by alumni of IITs and IIMs and provides the start-up’s access to the rich network of trust members.

“Looking at the bigger picture, where the Chinese market was 10 years back, the Indian market is there now. These Chinese investors saw the growth process we are now seeing in our own start-up sector and are keen to share this knowledge. They are perfectly placed in bringing in not only mature capital but the knowledge they have gathered all these years in a market which is very similar to ours,” Gupta said.

“The Chinese market is huge in terms of consumption, offering immense scope for Indian start-ups to learn and develop products,” he said.

France, along with many other countries in Europe and throughout the world, has been affected by wars throughout history. France has been at the forefront of many battles throughout its history, so it is a haven for war and history buffs to visit, both due to the many monuments located throughout the country and the many battlefields and historic locations throughout the country. Many places remain that can be seen, from mansions in France used by the Nazis to palaces lived in by Napoleon. There is history for everyone.

France

Although war and its aftermath will always be controversial, the fact remains they happened—these events’ locations intrigue academics and amateurs who have connections or have read about history. A few countries will always be important to these aspects of history, and the franchise is one of them. Here we have looked at several locations associated with a few different wars in Frances’s history. We will examine why they are important and how it might be possible to visit these locations.

Schoenenbourg Maginot Line Fort:

This fort was one of France’s series after world war I to stop any future German invasions. These forts and other underground tunnels were built along the German and French border and were designed to last continued assaults.

This fort especially contained food, weapons stocks, water, and electricity supply. When it fell into disrepair, local councils took it upon themselves to restore the fortifications’ remains and later open it up to the public. Following WWII, it remained in use until the mid-1980s due to the cold war and several other political reasons.

Somme battlefields:

The sight of huge death and destruction during the first world war is now quite a beautiful location in which it is hard to believe that over a million soldiers lost their lives during the enormous battle. Many tours will take you to some of the most important locations on the battlefield or stroll around the area yourself. As not much remains of the fortifications or the battle itself, it Is hard to comprehend the events which took place here, though it is still hugely important to events that took place in Europe in the years after the war.

The region of Piccadilly where the battles occurred can be easily reached by car from Paris as it is located just North of the city. There are several towns where you can glean some history of the site and the battles, and there would also be some of the starting points for the tours.

Oradour-Sur-Glane

The site of one of the many atrocities carried out by the Nazis in world war two. The town of Oradour-Sur-Glane was almost destroyed in 1944, and over 600 residents were killed. The ruins remain a reminder of the war events, which are now protected by French law, although tours are permitted in the area. A museum has been built far away from the ruins so as not to disturb the area.

Survivors of the town rebuilt the town a few miles away as they could not return to the site of this incident. The ruins can be reached from the larger city of Limoges, serviced by several airlines.

Normandy beaches:

Arguably the most important battlefield in recent French history, the Normandy beaches, was the D-day landings science on the six h of June 1944. They marked a turning point in the western side of the war in ww2 as allied forces began to push from the west. The beaches now contain many memorials to the events of that day, and there are a few remnants of the battlefield which can be explored.

The surrounding areas contain many museums, exhibits, and tours which you can take. The cemeteries of the fallen soldiers on both sides of the war can also be seen on a trip to the areas, with tours organized among these as well.

You can reach Normandy up to two hours from Paris y car, and ferry and train services are also available. Organizing a tour from Paris through your accommodation or a travel agency may be possible.

Arc de triumph:

Located along the famous Champs, Elysee is probably the largest and most renowned war artifact situated in France. SituNapoleon ordered its construction to commemorate the soldiers lost in the Napoleonic wars. ated in Paris’s capital, this monument was probably on your to-see list even without its connections to Napoleon and the first world war.

It contains many engravings of battles and events throughout the wars. Its construction took over 30 years, and later, the tomb of the unknown soldier has added to comfort the lives lost in both world wars. Even for those without an interest in history, this will surely be a location you visit on a trip to Paris.

Although a sad subject, these places are hugely important to world history and France. Take your time to appreciate the significance and impact of each location in history. Some areas will interest you, while others may not, but they are worth visiting.
