Chairman of the Indian Institute of Welding R Srinivasan said, “Growth of the welding industry is expected to double by 2020, and it will also generate tremendous employment in the coming years. Considering the growth, the industry needs to upgrade its technology and skills on a priority. It must embrace the global advances in the science and art of welding to ensure success.”

Senior vice-president of Badve Group S. Abhyankar said, “Welding is a globally accepted method of joining the metals permanently. The Indian welding industry was dominated by low technology and scarce technological innovation. However, in recent years, the demand for automatic and semi-automatic welding electrode production machines has been rising.”

CMIA member Maithili Tambolkar said, “To remain competitive, welding electrodes’ machine manufacturers in India need to produce high quality and unique goods. With increasing competition and lower profit margins, manufacturers need to improve their service, performance, and delivery.”

“The three-day expo will mainly focus on live demonstration of welding processes, display of a variety of welding machines, consumables, and allied equipment, buyer-seller meet, informative technical sessions, and keynote speeches,” said Suraj Dumane, AISA secretary.
